The backbone of any academic
or research institution is its library. The research of the institute is
backed by a well stocked library cum information center. Library
building consisting of 11 rooms/hall has sitting capacity of 40
readers.
Books-> The library has 7830 books and arranged
according to Universal Decimal Classification Scheme. The major subject
into which there books are classified are Forestry, Silviculture,
Agroforestry, Botany, Chemistry, Plant physiology, Morphology,
Pathology, and Ecology. There is a separate space for Reference books
viz encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Wealth of India, Atals, Maps etc. All
books classified and entered in the computer for easy location of books
from the shelves.
Journals -> The library has been subscribing 15 Indian and 10
Foreign Journals.
News Letters/Other Publications -> The library has been
receiving Annual Reports of the different Institutes besides many
monographs, reprints of research articles, news letters have been
receiving as gratis copy. |
